OUR STORY

A farm built from a desire to feed our family better.

What began with a few backyard chickens in 2020 grew into a first-generation regenerative farm rooted in family, transparency, and the belief that knowing your farmer still matters.

Today, we raise pasture-raised chicken, eggs, and pork for families who want to feel confident about where their food comes from and how it was raised.

It started at our own kitchen table.

Wild Texan Farm began in 2020, when empty grocery shelves and concerns about our family's health pushed us to look more closely at where our food came from. We started with a few backyard chickens.

Then something unexpected happened. One of our sons, who reacted to grocery store eggs, was able to eat eggs from our hens without the same issue. That experience changed the way we thought about food. It made us want to understand more about how it was raised.

We wanted more than better food for our own table. We wanted to build a farm where families could know who raised their food, how the animals lived, and what went into their feed. In 2023, we purchased our farm in Jourdanton and began turning that vision into Wild Texan Farm.

OUR MISSION

Raise nutrient-dense food with integrity while helping families reconnect with the people and practices behind it.

HOW WE FARM

Working with nature, not against it.

Regenerative farming shapes the way we care for our land and animals every day. We move them regularly to fresh pasture, then give each area time to rest and recover. Every species has a job, from grazing plants to adding nutrients back to the soil.

We believe it all starts with healthy soil. Healthy soil grows better pasture, better pasture supports healthier animals, and healthier animals help us provide nutrient dense food for our family and yours.

WHY FEED MATTERS

What goes into our animals matters.

We believe what goes into our animals matters just as much as how they are raised. Our poultry and pigs are fed certified organic, non-GMO and soy-free feed. They also spend their days outside where they can graze, root and forage.

Feed is one of our largest expenses, but it is not a place where we are willing to cut corners. It is part of our promise to be honest about how we raise food for our family and yours.

FAMILY AND TRANSPARENCY

You should be able to know your farmer.

We are a first generation farm, learning and growing with our children beside us. This work is part of our family life, and we want you to know the people behind the food on your table.

We believe you deserve honest answers about how your food was raised and what went into it. Ask us questions, visit us at the market, or schedule a trip to the farm. We want you to feel confident about the food you bring home.
